Ovoproducts Division
Transforming Fresh Eggs into Industrial Opportunity
🇸🇳 Turning national production into industrial-grade food ingredients
SUNU GAAL’s Ovoproducts Division marks Senegal’s first ever large-scale liquid and powdered egg processing complex. By transforming local eggs into high-quality industrial ingredients, the division replaces over US $3 million in imports annually while unlocking new opportunities for bakeries, food manufacturers, and the hospitality sector. This state-of-the-art facility anchors Senegal’s shift from raw production to value-added agro-industrial exports across West Africa.
This division plays a pivotal role in Senegal’s food sovereignty and export diversification strategy. Through advanced egg-breaking, pasteurisation, and spray-drying systems, SUNU GAAL replaces over US $3 million in annual imports of processed egg products while creating a new industrial base for commercial users, food manufacturers, and institutional buyers. Designed to operate under ISO 22000, andHACCP certification frameworks, the complex guarantees food-grade traceability, hygiene, and international compliance — making it capable of both serving domestic industry and exporting to ECOWAS and Europe.
🇸🇳 Technology & Facilities
Precision Processing, Global Standards
The Ovoproducts Division operates with advanced European-engineered systems designed for food-grade precision and continuous reliability. The facility integrates automatic breaking, separation, pasteurisation, and drying units, capable of converting millions of local eggs into high-quality liquid and powdered forms.
All processes comply with ISO 22000, HACCP, and Codex Alimentarius standards, ensuring full traceability and export readiness. Stainless-steel production lines, closed-circuit CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) systems, and automated quality control sensors maintain strict hygiene and consistency from shell to sealed product.
By adopting technologies from global leaders in egg processing and packaging, SUNU GAAL guarantees European-standard output, enabling Senegalese-made ovoproducts to meet the demands of regional food industries and international buyers alike.
🇸🇳 Production Process & Quality Assurance
Advanced egg processing under world-class hygiene and certification systems
1- Controlled and Traceable Supply Chain
SUNU GAAL’s Ovoproducts Division operates a fully integrated and traceable chain, from breeder flocks to final packaging. All eggs entering the processing line originate from SUNU GAAL’s own breeder farms, ensuring total control over quality, freshness, and biosecurity. Each batch is electronically logged and tagged, allowing end-to-end traceability from farm → product → customer, in full compliance with Senegalese and ECOWAS food safety frameworks.
2- Industrial Processing Excellence
Within the facility, operations follow a clean-room design featuring stainless-steel piping, sealed air systems, and automated controls to maintain strict hygiene and temperature stability. The process begins with egg reception and grading, followed by automated breaking and separation lines that handle high volumes efficiently. Depending on the product line, eggs then undergo either pasteurisation (for liquid eggs) or spray-drying (for powdered eggs) before packaging and cold storage in export-ready conditions.
3- Quality Control and Certification
SUNU GAAL maintains continuous microbial and physicochemical testing across all stages of production, ensuring product consistency and consumer safety. All systems are designed to comply with ISO 22000, HACCP, and Halal standards, meeting the stringent export norms of Senegal, ECOWAS, and the European Union. This commitment to science-based quality assurance reinforces SUNU GAAL’s vision of positioning Senegal as a trusted regional supplier of food-grade ovoproducts.

🇸🇳 Market Potential & Export Readiness
Replacing Imports, Powering New Industries
1- Domestic Market Leadership
Until now, Senegal has had no industrial egg processing facility, the entire market for liquid and powdered eggs depends on imports. This structural gap presents a clear first-mover advantage for SUNU GAAL, positioning it as the nation’s first and only producer capable of transforming raw eggs into high-value liquid and powder forms. By localising this missing agro-industrial link, SUNU GAAL captures untapped demand while pioneering a new manufacturing segment for the country. SUNU GAAL’s Ovoproducts Division is engineered for industrial-scale performance, with an initial capacity of 20 tonnes of liquid egg per day and 5 tonnes of spray-dried egg powder, scalable to double these volumes within three years. These production levels are sufficient to fully substitute Senegal’s annual import demand, currently valued at over US $3 million in liquid and powdered eggs
2- Regional and International Export Potential
Thanks to the long shelf life and non-refrigerated transportability of powdered eggs, the division is built for cross-border and overseas trade. SUNU GAAL will target ECOWAS member states initially, before expanding into select EU markets under bilateral trade frameworks. With ISO 22000, HACCP, and Halal compliance, and a fully traceable farm-to-product system, SUNU GAAL is strategically positioned to become West Africa’s first vertically integrated exporter of industrial egg ingredients — a benchmark in regional agrifood sovereignty.
